Smeg CGF01

Equipment notes

Smeg is an Italian home-appliance brand known for retro design, and the CGF01 is the electric burr grinder in its design-appliance line. It uses conical steel burrs and changes grind size on a stepped scale, pairing a kitchen-matching look with a range of home brew methods. Conical burrs allow some fines and tend to give a body-rich cup, while stepped adjustment makes everyday sizes like drip, French press, and moka pot easy to repeat. As a design appliance, its weight is on convenience, appearance, and broad versatility rather than the precise espresso dial-in of dedicated rivals. It suits home users who value harmony with kitchen decor and want easy, reliable grinding centered on drip and French press.
