1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Pourist ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Pourist provides a personalized coffee recipe generation service. Features include: - Custom coffee recipes tailored to your beans and equipment - Bean information management and analysis - Brewing feedback logging and journey (brewing session) management - Equipment management - Camera-based bean and recipe card recognition - Push notifications (brewing reminders, feedback reminders, news) - Equipment addition requests, general feedback, and catalog correction suggestions - Cafe visit logging and location-based cafe discovery - Optional publication of cafe logs (see Section 7-2) - Creating and sharing share cards (bean, recipe, journey) - Additional features as determined by the Service
2-2. Location-Based Services
1. With your consent, the Service uses your location to suggest nearby cafes, to search and match cafes, and to adjust recipes for environmental conditions such as region and weather. 2. You may use the Service without consenting to location access; only the location-dependent features become unavailable. 3. Location comes from your device's location permission or from the location data in a photo you select. Exact EXIF location is used only while processing your request, is not stored, is not permanently stored, and is used during temporary processing. Selected permanent cafe coordinates may be stored as cafe catalog data. A popup cafe location you register is rounded to three decimal places, roughly 100m, before it is stored as shared catalog data. 4. You may withdraw or suspend location consent at any time in your device settings. 5. You, or your legal representative, may request access to and notice of how your location data has been used or provided. Send such requests to privacy@pourist.app. 6. Where the Service would process location data of a child aged 8 or under, or of a person under adult guardianship, consent is obtained from their guardian, who then holds all rights of the location data subject.
3. Account Registration
1. You may register using a social account supported by the Service, such as Google or Apple. 2. You must provide accurate information and may not use another person's identity. 3. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. 4. You may request account deletion at any time from the app settings. 5. On deletion, your personal records — beans, recipes, brewing logs, cafe logs, and the photos in them — are deleted, and any cafe logs you published are deleted with them and removed from cafe pages. Cafes you registered remain in the shared cafe catalog with the link to you severed, in anonymous form.
4. Use of Service and Subscription
1. The web service is provided free of charge and does not include paid features. 2. The mobile app offers both free and subscription (paid) features. Certain features are accessible only through a subscription. Subscription pricing and scope are detailed within the app. 3. Subscription payment, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. 4. Recipes generated by the Service are for reference purposes. Actual results may vary depending on conditions.
5. Modifications and Interruptions
1. The Service may modify or discontinue features for operational or technical reasons. 2. Users will be notified in advance of service interruptions, except in cases of force majeure.
6. User Obligations
Users shall not: 1. Misappropriate another person's information 2. Use the Service for fraudulent purposes 3. Interfere with the operation of the Service 4. Violate any applicable laws or regulations
6-2. Suspension and Termination
1. If you breach Section 6 or any applicable law, the Service may: a. Unpublish or delete the content or published record in question b. Temporarily restrict your use of the Service c. Terminate the agreement in cases of repeated or serious breach 2. The Service notifies you of the reason and scope before taking action, or without delay afterwards where urgent action is required. 3. If you disagree with an action, you may respond at privacy@pourist.app. Where your response is well founded, the Service lifts the action immediately.
7. Intellectual Property
1. Content created by the Service is the property of Pourist. 2. Personal use of recipes generated by the Service is permitted, but commercial redistribution is prohibited. 3. Bean information, feedback data, and equipment addition requests provided by users may be used to improve the Service and expand the catalog. 4. When you share a share card externally (e.g., on social media), you are responsible for the scope of disclosure and the information it contains (bean, recipe, satisfaction, statistics, etc.).
7-2. Publishing Cafe Logs
1. Cafe logs are private personal records by default. You choose whether to publish them, per entry and per photo. 2. When you publish an entry, only the following appear on that cafe's page: the visit date, the coffee name, the roaster name, the tasting notes you selected, and the photos you chose to publish. 3. Account information, satisfaction and cupping scores, and personal notes are never published. Published entries appear anonymously and cannot be traced to their author. 4. You can unpublish or delete an entry at any time, and it is removed from the cafe page immediately. 5. The Service stores published entries and generates preview images solely to display them on the cafe page, and does not use them for any other purpose. 6. You should not publish photos containing other people's likeness, personal information, or copyrighted works. You are responsible for what you publish. 7. If an inappropriate photo or text has been published, please use the report action on the cafe detail screen or contact privacy@pourist.app. The Service may unpublish or delete it after review.
8. Disclaimer
1. The Service is not liable for interruptions caused by force majeure. 2. Recipes are for reference purposes only. The Service is not responsible for outcomes resulting from recipe use. 3. Cafe information (operating status, filter coffee availability, name, address, location, and so on) is reference information compiled automatically from external map providers and publicly available sources, and may differ from reality. Cafe owners and users may request corrections through the in-app suggestion feature or at privacy@pourist.app. 4. The Service is not liable for damages caused by user negligence.
9. Changes to Terms
The Service may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted with the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the Republic of Korea.
Effective Date
These Terms of Service are effective as of July 27, 2026, replacing the previous version effective June 8, 2026.
