The Breville Dose Control Pro, sold as Sage in the UK and Europe, is an entry electric grinder. A motor spins a stainless steel conical burr, grind size is set in steps by turning the collar beneath the hopper, and it supports time-based dosing. It sits at the crossover of drip and light espresso entry. The conical steel burr cuts more sharply than ceramic, keeping fines relatively lower at fine settings, and the conical form adds body. Collar-based stepped adjustment covers a wide range repeatably but at coarse resolution, and with a single grind path the very fine espresso range has limits for precise dial-in. It grinds for the set time and stops automatically, making a target dose easy to repeat. A portafilter cradle also ties it into an espresso workflow. It fits beginners starting both drip and espresso at home who want the convenience of dosed grinding.
