Equipment notes
Delico is a Korean coffee machine brand based in Anseong that sells its home espresso machines, the New Homepresso and Officepresso, and its grinders direct. The Saber is its cordless electric grinder introduced in 2026, named for the sharpness of a sword and pitched as one machine that covers espresso through French press without an outlet. A 7.4 V 2600 mAh battery charges over USB-C, the hopper takes 80 to 130 g, and it weighs 1.14 kg. The burr is a 41 mm conical cut from 420 stainless steel by CNC, driven by a 110 W copper motor at a slow 200 rpm or so. Adjustment is a 60-step click ring on the outside of the body below the hopper, with 0 (FINE) the finest and higher numbers coarser. The maker maps 0 to 15 to espresso, 15 to 40 to moka pot and hand drip, and 40 to 60 to French press. The body leans forward, static is suppressed, a knocking function taps the chute after grinding to shake out leftovers, a 58 mm portafilter holder and a dosing cup are included, and the zero point does not need resetting after cleaning. Because a small conical that reaches espresso carries more fines than filter-only grinders, the cup leans toward sweetness and body rather than clarity. For pour over, start in the middle of the hand-drip band around 25 to 30 and move a step or two while watching the drawdown. It suits someone building a home bar around a Delico machine who wants to move between espresso and drip on one grinder, or anyone who wants freshly ground coffee where there is no power.
