Equipment notes

GOAT STORY is a Slovenian coffee brand, and the GINA is a brewer built around a bottom valve that lets you control flow directly, so one device covers several brewing methods. It pairs a cone funnel and a glass pitcher with a precision valve, designed to move between pour-over, immersion, and cold drip. With the valve open, water percolates down the cone like a pour-over; closed, the grounds steep in full immersion; cracked slightly, it becomes a slow cold drip. Flow is set by the user through the valve rather than by dripper geometry, so contact time can vary widely within the same cone. It uses V60-style cone paper filters. Start open with a standard pour-over grind and use the valve to balance body and clarity. Closed, it gives an even immersion with sweetness and weight; open, a cleaner and more transparent cup. It suits brewers who want to experiment across methods and control flow by hand.
