Equipment notes
GXU is a young dripper brand with very little public information behind it; its flagship product is a flat-bottom dripper built around a return to the single-hole design. The dripper is manufactured in China and became known through Equal Coffee, its exclusive retailer in Japan. The geometry pairs a flat bed with a single central outlet. Thick vertical grooves on the walls grow deeper as they approach the base, where they merge into radial ribs on the floor, so water running down the walls is steered into the one center hole. The floor itself slopes gently toward the center, which limits pooling, and the dripper drains quickly while keeping the even coffee bed that flat-bottom brewers are known for. This converging flow path is designed to suppress channeling and deliver a clean, repeatable extraction. It accepts wave-style flat-bottom paper filters in both 155 and 185 sizes. Center pouring is the baseline; pouring near the wall speeds up drainage, so keeping a steady pour rate is the key to reproducibility. The holder is removable, letting you brew on top of a server or nest the dripper inside one, and the Tritan body is light and shrug-resistant to drops. It suits brewers who cup new beans side by side often, or who want a fast-flowing flat-bottom for consistent, repeatable brews.
