The Strong is one of three drippers in the Brewers series by Loveramics, a Hong Kong tableware brand with long-standing ties to the specialty coffee scene. Developed with ceramic designer Simon Stevens, the series shares a single porcelain cone shape across three models, each with a different embossment pattern that sets a different flow rate. The Strong is the slowest of the trio and comes in white as its signature color. Inside the cone, the wall is studded with small raised dots. Each dot acts like a speed bump for the descending water, catching and slowing the flow, which gives the Strong the longest drawdown of the three. The extended contact time pushes extraction deeper, building a concentrated cup with pronounced sweetness and a thick body, a profile where weight leads rather than delicate aromatics. It takes standard 02-size conical paper filters, the same as a Hario V60-02. Preheat the porcelain body thoroughly with hot water before brewing. Because the flow is slow by design, grind slightly coarser than usual and keep agitation gentle so the bed does not stall, especially with coffees that produce many fines. This is a dripper for those who want a rich, weighty cup with depth.
