Equipment notes

Bonmac is the Japanese commercial coffee equipment brand run by Lucky Coffee Machine of the UCC group, and the BM-570N is its drip-dedicated electric grinder for cafes and bean retailers. A 100 V shop machine that grinds 500 g per minute, it is the white receiving-can model; the black BM-570N-B and the bag-holder BM-570S are its siblings. It weighs 8.1 kg. The burr is a cast conical mill burr measured at 90 mm in an owner teardown. Adjustment is stepped: a front lever moves across an 18-dot scale marked with siphon, paper drip, coffee maker and espresso icons. The standard burr does not reach espresso fineness; that needs the separately sold disc cutter set. The large conical burr is built for slow, high-volume grinding, so heat stays low and particles come out fairly even, and the cup from paper drip carries steady sweetness and body. For pour over, start around the paper-drip icon and move one dot at a time. A 220 V version is imported to Korea as the BM-570NB, and it suits shops and roasteries that grind a lot every day and need it consistent.
