Kanso's Hiku is a manual grinder from the brand Kanso, whose identity is an unusually large conical burr set fitted into a hand-cranked mill. Despite the large burr, it is finished in a compact cylindrical body that sits well in the hand. The large conical steel burr increases contact area and per-turn throughput, keeping the body typical of conical geometry while speeding up grinding. The steel cuts sharply, and a stabilised shaft holds the large burr in alignment. Adjustment sets grind size along settings and covers espresso through filter to immersion. A titanium-coated burr option is also available.
