The Phantox Pro is a hand grinder from the coffee equipment brand Mavo. It carries an in-house-designed stainless heptagonal conical burr, adjusted by clicks on an externally exposed dial. The burr pairs a roughly 45mm outer diameter with a separate inner cutting diameter, and the center shaft is supported by three bearings to reduce wobble in rotation. External dial adjustment lets you change the size even with beans loaded, making dial-in quick. The heptagonal conical burr bites the beans at several points at once for higher cutting efficiency, and by its conical geometry it carries fines and tends to build body. Its range spans from near-espresso fines to near French-press coarseness, so it works as an all-rounder. It suits mid-tier and up hand-grinder users who want to keep the feel of manual grinding while covering espresso through immersion in one mill.
