A compact single-dose electric grinder from Option-O of Melbourne, Australia. It uses 48mm conical burrs, and the Obsidian burrs are titanium-nitride-coated for a cup with more body. An earlier option before the Moonshine burrs, it has since been replaced by Moonshine and discontinued. The Obsidian burrs leave relatively more fines for a fuller, more blended cup with medium clarity. Combined with conical-burr traits, they are strong in espresso and finer grinds. Stepless adjustment sets from espresso to filter, but the character leans toward body. It suits users who prefer a fuller cup or espresso and fine grinds, and existing owners who already have Obsidian burrs.
