The EG-1 is the flagship grinder from Weber Workshops, based in Taipei, Taiwan. Built around an 80mm flat steel burr, it has become a reference-grade all-rounder defined by precise machining and low retention. Flat burrs cut particles evenly, lifting uniformity and clarity. Rotation speed can be adjusted in real time to bean hardness, tuning grinding heat and particle character, and stepless adjustment allows very fine dial-in. A magnetic construction gives tool-free access to the burrs and scraper in a short time. It suits serious home enthusiasts who want to handle both espresso and filter precisely and to chase settings across frequently changing coffees with low retention.
