Wilfa is a Norwegian home-appliance brand, and the Svart is a filter-oriented grinder line developed in collaboration with World Barista Champion Tim Wendelboe. The Svart here is the base line using conical steel burrs, differing in burr setup from the higher Uniform line with its 58mm flat burrs. Grind size is adjusted in steps. Conical burrs allow some fines and tend toward a body-rich cup, and the collaborative design deliberately keeps rotation slow so the grounds do not heat up, focusing on preserving aroma.
