This is the M size of the Air line, which carries the Origami dripper's twenty-rib design over into lightweight AS resin. It keeps the shape and filter compatibility of the Mino-ware porcelain original while making it lighter and more impact-resistant for daily use, from a single cup up to enough to share. The internal structure is the same as the porcelain version: twenty ribs open space between the wall and the filter so water and air move freely, and both cone and wave filters fit. Resin draws less heat from the water than porcelain, so preheating is less of a burden, and the body is noticeably lighter than the porcelain model. As with the porcelain version, flow rate changes markedly with the choice of filter. A cone filter tends to drain faster and highlight brightness, while a wave filter slows the flow and leans toward sweetness and body, so filter choice is a simple way to adjust the cup. This is a dripper for anyone who wants a light, tough everyday brewer that moves between home and the outdoors and covers a whole round of cups on its own.
