The Ode Gen 2 is an electric grinder from Fellow, a brand based in San Francisco, USA. It is a brew-only model built around 64mm stainless steel flat burrs, and its second-generation burrs are a redesign of the original Ode's burrs that sharpens grind precision. It pairs single-dose loading with a numbered dial, a magnetic catch cup, and a grounds knocker for a tidy desktop-friendly design. Large flat burrs pull the particle distribution into a narrow band, giving high uniformity and letting clarity and aromatic separation come through in the cup. The generous 64mm burr area helps grinding speed, keeps heat down, and improves batch-to-batch consistency. However, the motor and burr setup are tuned for drip and immersion, so it does not reach the ultra-fine range needed for espresso. The numbered dial is stepped, making it easy to settle into filter settings. It suits home brewers who mainly enjoy pour-over, French press, and cold brew and want uniform filter grinds and a clean cup. Espresso is out of scope.
