The Hario Skerton Pro is a ceramic hand grinder that pushes the Skerton line further on adjustment convenience and stability. It adds a stabilizing shaft and a lower burr spring to the conical ceramic burr to reduce wobble, the crank detaches for storage, and the hopper lid changes from silicone to hard plastic for a firmer fit. The biggest practical change is adjustment: unlike the Plus, you set grind size with a stepped dial below the burr without disassembling the whole grinder, making settings easier to repeat. The stabilizing structure reduces particle variation and improves uniformity even with the same ceramic burr, covering coarse French press through medium pour-over in practice. As a ceramic burr it runs cool, but its uniformity remains lower than high-end steel.
