Comandante is a premium hand grinder brand designed and manufactured in Germany. The C40 MK4 is its flagship, using a 39mm conical stainless steel burr in Comandante's proprietary Nitro Blade (high-nitrogen martensitic stainless) specification. The "with Gold Clix" configuration fits the GX50 Gold Clix fine-adjustment drivetrain (solid brass) in place of the standard axle. Gold Clix is not a color variant but a distinct fine-adjustment spec with a finer thread pitch than the standard axle. The conical burr tends to build body and leave some fines, but the precision-machined high-nitrogen burr keeps particle uniformity strong across the filter range. The Gold Clix drivetrain shifts less per click than the standard axle, so it dials the fine end precisely and covers everything from pour-over to espresso.
