The C3 is the flagship of Timemore's entry hand grinders, a widely adopted line offering decent performance at a low price. The C3 ESP is the variant that widens the adjustment range to also handle espresso. Smaller burrs and a simpler build than the higher C5 keep its price down, which defines its place. It carries a 38mm S2C conical steel burr and uses stepped external adjustment that divides each turn into several graduations. With a smaller burr than the 42mm class, grind speed and throughput are somewhat lower, but the ESP burr setting reaches down into the espresso-fine range. A metal body and double bearing give it stable axis support for an entry unit. The smaller conical burr carries relatively more fines, tending toward a fuller body, and it covers a broad span centered on filter through espresso and French press. It suits budget-minded beginners who still want espresso capability, or anyone seeking a light, portable second grinder.
