The Chestnut X Lite is a manual hand grinder in which Chinese grinder brand Timemore brings the Spike-to-Cut burr design of the higher Chestnut X into a more accessible form. Timemore is known for minimalist, sensibly priced manual grinders. The burr is a Spike-to-Cut conical set made of SUS440 stainless steel, carrying over the two-stage structure where larger spikes at the top break beans first before lower teeth finish the final particle. This makes cutting fast and aligns particles evenly. However, instead of the rotation-based fine adjustment of the higher X, it adopts a clicked stepped method, keeping operation simple and repeatable while covering espresso through filter.
