Equipment notes

Timemore is a Chinese coffee equipment brand best known for popularizing value hand grinders through its Chestnut series. The C5 Pro sits at the upper end of that C5 line, an all-round grinder positioned between the standard C5 and the espresso-focused ESP model. An all-metal body and a double-bearing central axis that curbs wobble mark this generation. It carries a 42mm-class S2C conical steel burr, giving the body and workable throughput typical of conical geometry. Adjustment is stepped and made internally within the body, with a tighter pitch than the standard C5 so filter-range fineness can be set more finely. The double bearing limits axis wobble to aid particle evenness. The conical layout carries a moderate fines fraction that brings out body and texture, and the range comfortably spans filter through French press. Because the finest espresso zone is left to the ESP model, the C5 Pro suits all-round users who brew mostly pour-over yet want one grinder for several methods.
