The Timemore (China) C2 Max is a manual hand grinder and the larger-capacity variant of the value Chestnut series. It keeps the same 38mm conical stainless burrs, internal stepped adjustment and dual-bearing structure as the C2; the only difference is a taller body and hopper that grind more beans per batch. Because burrs and adjustment match the C2, grind performance is effectively identical. The standard conical burrs carry some fines and lean toward body, with somewhat lower uniformity than the higher S2C sets. They are strong in the medium-to-coarse range for filter and French press, while internal stepped adjustment limits resolution in the fine zone. The added capacity makes it convenient to prepare multiple cups or immersion brews at once. It suits users who like the C2's character but frequently brew French press or multi-cup batches and need the extra volume.
