The original V60 arrived in 2004 and became the standard for pour-over, but it carried a known challenge: results depended heavily on the hands doing the pouring. The NEO is the first model in roughly twenty years to redesign the rib structure from the ground up to lower that barrier, and the 01 is its smallest size, made for one or two cups. Seventy-two ultra-fine spiral ribs on the wall converge into nine deep ribs at the base, speeding up drainage and making the brew less sensitive to variations in pouring speed. That converging structure at the bottom is designed to keep fines from collecting and clogging near the outlet. The body is Tritan (PCT resin), whose low thermal conductivity keeps the temperature stable throughout the brew, and it uses the same 01 cone paper filters. Set the grind slightly finer than you would for a regular V60, and even pouring from an ordinary kettle without a gooseneck yields respectable results. The fast flow and high bypass make the extraction forgiving, so reproducing the same cup every morning is easy. This is a dripper for anyone who wants to brew a consistent solo cup without the technical overhead.
